CLCD NEWSLETTERVolume 2, Issue 4April 2003

As I write this, the Washington DC area is slowly recovering from its Presidents' Day snowstorm. In fact, the It is with pure delight that I watch the earth renew itself and take on so many shades of glorious green. I just love the early light green color as the leaves begin to form on the trees. The grass below is turning from its winter brown to bright green, and as the flowering bulbs spring up from their dormancy, the green of their leaves forms the perfect accent for the beautiful spring pastels of the tulips and daffodils. However, if the thought of all the work you need to do before the end of the school year is making you "green" then you will certainly want to subscribe to the Children's Literature Comprehensive Database (CLCD) If you are a "Green Librarian," one who is about to graduate from library school or has been a librarian for just a couple of years, CLCD can help you broaden your scope of children's literature, help you answer questions for students, teachers and parents, and help you prepare bibliographies. To discover these and many other benefits of subscribing to the CLCD, go to www.childrenslit.com for a free trial. By the way, as our subscribers talk about how valuable the CLCD is to them, we have seen Children's Literature Specialists turn green with envy - and hurry back to their libraries, bookstores, universities and other venues to take a look.
